Meet our Leadership

Director:
Kathleen Collins

Before joining Thriving Roots, Kathy served as the director of Little Steps Early Learning Center from 2014-2025. She has worked in childcare as a program director, consultant, and pre-school teacher since 1992. Kathy holds her bachelor's and master's degrees in early childhood education and has volunteered with multiple local councils and associations as an advocate for young children.

Assistant Director:
Micayla Hebert

Before joining Thriving Roots, Micayla served as the assistant director at Little Steps Early Learning Center from 2017-2025. She spent the two years prior studying outdoor education and teaching at Little People's Early Learning Center in Yellowstone National Park! Micayla started her work with young children at the YMCA of Strafford County in 2013. She holds an associate degree in Education Administration & Leadership and has volunteered on committees for child safety and fundraising.
